Hello World by Jon Ponder

July 3rd: Enter Presley and Paige

It became glaringly obvious Sunday morning that Amber's pre- eclampsia was progressing in severity. Our obstetrician let us know it's time for a c-section and set in motion the orchestra of events that surround a surgery. By 11:51, which incidentally was the exact tee-time I made the day before, Amber was ready and the surgeon was starting the operation.

At 11:59, and weighing in at a whopping 3 pounds, 3 ounces Paige entered our lives!

A minute later, 2 pound, 6 ounce Presley made her grand entrance.

I now know first-hand what a powerful moment it is to see your children for the first time. They were little, but vocal and feisty. They both were quickly whisked away to the nursery but not before we were able to catch a quick pic with Paige.

Amber was fantastic. She remained brave and calm. She had that courage and clarity under pressure that makes awesome moms.

We have been blessed with a great team of surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses to care for our family. Thanks to their service and God's grace we welcome our children into the world.
