Happy Easter!!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We both spent the entire weekend on call (I was call and Jon was back-up Friday and Saturday then Jon was call Sunday and I was back-up), so we both spent most of the weekend at work while everyone else was enjoying their long 3 day weekend! Jon did, however, find the time to plant all the plants he's been collecting over the last week or so in the flower bed in front of our house. He spent many hours tilling, shaping, applying peat moss, laying weed barrier and planting the shrubs, roses and a tree. He even got it all done before the big rainstorm last night. Here's a picture of all his hard work. Didn't he do a great job?? I didn't get to help much because I just knew as soon and I got dirty I would get called into work, and sure enough I did both days. My job was to keep his coffee cup full!

Here's a closer view...

Last weekend, Jon and my dad spent the day staining our fence. He had been putting it off for a couple weekends due to the high winds, but finally he gave in because it had to be done before it rained again. There aren't many days out here in the country where there isn't any wind. I wished I would have gotten a picture of Jon after he was done. I came home from work and he looked like he had a really bad fake tan all over his face and arms. It was really bad.... He was orange because the stain we used was cedar colored! Here's a picture of the back yard with the fence in the background.

I can't wait until we get grass!! They can't spray the hydromulch until May, so we have to put up with the mud and dust for a little while longer. Everytime it rains we have an acre of mud and end up with 2 chocolate labs instead of one!

Here's the latest picture of our puppies. Riley is going to be huge! His paws are already almost as big as Remi's!

I'm working on pictures of the inside of the house. I'll post them next!
