Well we've both officially worked two full weeks and can't wait until next Friday for payday! We haven't seen a paycheck in 2 1/2 years! Work is going great so far. It's pretty much the same work we did as a student, but we're on our own. There isn't someone there at all times to ask questions. It's just us! We're still really enjoying it, especially since we aren't working for free anymore!
We decided a long time ago that our first paychecks would be for ourselves and could spend them however we wanted. Jon made the mistake too recently of telling me I could buy whatever washing machine I wanted.... so I've been keeping my eye on a couple at Lowe's. That's probably what most of mine will go to then the rest on buying stuff for the house most likely. Jon is super excited about buying a riding lawn mower. He's going to need one after all since he has an acre of land to keep mowed! So basically our first paychecks will be supporting Lowe's during these tough times so they don't start to go under like Home Depot!
