We had a wonderful Valentine's weekend. After work on Friday, we drove to Southlake, TX (which is up in the DFW area) and spent the weekend at the Southlake Town Square. It's a neat little area of the town that has a hotel, restaurants and more shopping than I could ever do all within a little villiage.
We celebrated Valentine's on Friday night since we knew it was going to be way too crowded to go where we wanted to on Saturday night. We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (and of course I had to have cheesecake for dessert).
Jon really surprised me with my Valentine's present. My mom was also in on the scheme to convince me that he bought me some new cookware I've been wanting. I was really excited to get some new pots and pans then he surprised me with these....
They are beautiful!!!!
Then on our way home from Southlake, we took a little detour through Early, TX to get Jon's Valentine's present......
Meet the newest member of our family Riley. He's a chocolate lab....exactly what Jon has been begging for and wanting for several months. He's 6 weeks old and as cute as can be.
Remi isn't quite sure what to think of him yet...... but she's excited to have a new friend to play with. She's learning how to play gently...
...but she doesn't have a problem with sharing..
