8 Months!

Time is going by way too fast!! My stack of monthly stickers for their onesies is getting very thin! We went to the doctor's office yesterday for our last RSV shot of the season! I'm so glad we get a break from shots for a little while. I was afraid we would have to go until April since this has been such a late flu/RSV season. They've had at least 1 shot a month since October! And for the first time ever... they both weighed the exact same! Both are tipping the scales at 14lbs even! This month we tried a variety of new foods...blueberries, zucchini, and even meat! The turkey and chicken were definitely a hit! I still make all of their other food, but I just can't do the meat. I buy it already pre-made in a jar. It's amazing to me how much cheaper it is to make baby food!.. especially organic. It would be an extra $5 a day on top of going through a $15 can of formula a day! These girls definitely eat better than we do!
Presley and Paige loving their Turkey and Vegetables

Paige:
-is almost sitting up by herself! She's also standing and LOVES to jump!! She's mastered jumping in the jumperoo and will even jump in your lap when you hold her up. It's so cute!
-She wants to crawls sooo bad!! She gets pretty frustrated when she sees a toy she wants but can't get to it.
-She loves talking to herself. Usually she'll talk herself to sleep at night.
-Eating solids is becoming easier, but now she hates sitting in her high chair! She will scream until you take her out and feed her in your lap!

Presley:
-can sit-up for long periods all by herself without assistance. She hasn't quite figured out how to jump yet, but she loves standing and holding on to things.
-She also tries to crawl so bad. She works so hard at it and it's cute to her her grunting.
-She now gets the 4 point restraints on the swing... She almost made it out of the swing the other day! We've just been buckling them in around the waist and I never really knew what those other 2 straps were for.. Well apparently they're straps for over their shoulders to keep them from escaping. She will bend her knees and arch up and grab the mobile! You definitely can't take your eyes off of her... She's so strong!

Another big accomplishment we did last week was put the girls in their own cribs to sleep! The first night was pretty brutal because they have never really laid flat before. Their backs have always been elevated because of their reflux. We put them in separate cribs because I was afraid of one rolling or kicking the other and waking them up. By the second night, I only went in there twice to give them pacifiers. I'll have to admit, it was so nice having our room back! I forgot what it looked like without bassinets and baby gear...but I missed them being so close by! After about 4-5 days of sleeping in their cribs, both girls became hoarse and their reflux came back with a vengeance. Their reflux had been pretty much non-existant the last few weeks and I was even contemplating them stopping their Nexium. They were also very snotty and had white boogers from formula refluxing into their noses. They never ran a fever so I'm blaming it on reflux and them laying flat.. even though it's probably just allergies?... Needless to say, after 2 days of sleeping back in our room elevated the hoarseness is gone! So, I'm not sure what we're going to do as far as sleeping arrangements go from now on.

Here's a video I took of the girls the other night. I had just laid them down to play so I could go take a shower. It was so hard for me not to laugh while I was recording! The noise you hear in the background is Jon (Yes, Jon) doing the dishes.

We just love these little girls so much! Sometimes I still can't believe that I have twins! They've been such blessings in our lives. We're really excited for the next few weeks when we can start venturing out like real parents of babies do! Just a warning though, I'm not that great at driving the double stroller yet!
