Lil' Pumpkins!

I just love fall! Pumpkins, leaves, cool weather, fall decorations... Every year we go to the Disability Resource Inc. pumpkin patch here in Abilene and buy a wagon load of pumpkins for our porches (it's for a good cause!) We always see parents with their little ones out there taking pictures in the pumpkins and I've always wanted to do that with my kids. Well, since we're not able to leave the house right now, that's pretty much out of the question. We decided to just take some pics ourselves at home instead. Needless to say, it did not go as planned. The girls were not interested in taking pics at all!! Here's a couple of the best ones we could get. Maybe we'll try again later...

The girls did cooperate for one picture earlier in the week. I saw these cute pumpkin hats on Etsy and thought it would be cute to get them and put the girls in a pumpkin with them on. While at the pumpkin patch, we go a pumpkin we thought would be large enough for the both of them. I carved it out and put some dishes inside to give the girls something to sit on. I even line it with OR towels fresh out of the dryer to try and make them a little more comfortable getting into a cold pumpkin. They did not like it at all at first, but after a lot of squeaking of their Sophie Giraffe, they calmed down to get a couple quick shots. Our friend Shawn came over and took the pictures for us. I just love them!!

The girls are really starting to be a lot of fun. They recognize Jon and I now and will smile and coo. It's precious!! Paige has found her voice and will talk your ear off if you talk back to her! Here's a video.
